Fleet Landing Retirement Community

Atlantic Beach, Florida

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Where Coastal Living Meets Culinary Innovation.

Fleet Landing presented an opportunity to rethink senior dining at every level. The project brief was shaped by the trends driving the food service landscape: food safety and transparency, operational flexibility, reduced labor through technology and simplified workflows, and a genuine effort to bring excitement back to the dining experience. SCOPOS was brought on following a presentation at the EFA conference focused on exactly these priorities, and the resulting program reflects that shared vision.

The centerpiece of the project is a new standalone amenity building housing a production kitchen and a full range of dining destinations. The residential program includes Meridian Lounge, Current Marketplace, 30 North for formal dining, The Retreat for private dining, and Waves Boutique. The healthcare side of the campus is served by Sandhill Café, Beachwood Restaurant, Hammocks Café with in-room dining capabilities, and Tides Restaurant and Bar. An on-site branded food truck rounds out the offering, bringing the Fleet Landing brand directly to residents wherever they are on campus.

THE FINISHED SPACE

GRAPHICS & BRANDING

From the water's edge to the dining room table.

The Fleet Landing branding program was built around a single unifying idea: the coastal character of the community itself. From the earliest naming conversations through final fabrication, each brand was developed to feel earned rather than applied, connected to the environment and the lifestyle it supports. The result is a suite of venues that each carry a distinct personality while reading as part of the same cohesive world.

Currents speaks to the easy, come-and-go energy of a coastal marketplace, a place for casual conversation and freshly made fare at any hour. The Anchor food truck brings elevated street food to the shoreside, while Meridian sets the tone for an upscale pub experience or a pre-dinner cocktail before moving on to 30 North for fine dining. Each brand was carried through completely, from signage and environmental graphics to smallwares, uniforms, paper goods, and menus, ensuring that the sense of place residents experience in one venue carries seamlessly into the next.
