ABOUT THE PROJECT
Redefining What Senior Dining Can Look Like
Friendship Village of Tempe set out to do something the senior living industry hadn't seen before, and the result speaks for itself. This project isn't just a dining renovation. It's a full reimagining of how food, beverage, and community can work together to enrich daily life for residents.
The full-service restaurant anchors the program with an open grill line, a semi-formal atmosphere, and a genuine commitment to seasonal and local ingredients. Teaching kitchen classes and wine tastings layer in opportunities for engagement that go well beyond a typical meal service.
The bar extends the experience upward, opening onto the rooftop and pairing a tapas menu with the kind of relaxed, social energy that invites residents to explore and linger. And at the top of it all sits the crown jewel of the project: a rooftop microbrewery, the first of its kind in the senior living industry. Craft beers brewed on-site by a local brewmaster, combined with a comfortable and inviting rooftop gathering space, give residents and visitors something truly worth talking about.
Every concept in this program was designed with community at the center, offering a range of dining and social experiences that meet residents where they are and bring them together in meaningful ways.
