Royal Oaks in Sun City, AZ, exemplifies the evolution of senior living dining, transforming six distinct venues into modern, functional spaces. Embracing a "Modern Desert" aesthetic, the design blends contemporary elements with Arizona's natural beauty.
Each venue was thoughtfully branded to enhance identity, efficiency, and experience. Features like a robotic busing system, self-checkout market, and live cooking demonstrations elevate service and engagement — setting a new standard for senior living by seamlessly integrating design, branding, and operations.

GRAPHICS & BRANDING
Six identities. One community.
Each dining venue within Royal Oaks was assigned a distinct identity that enhances the overall experience while maintaining a cohesive connection to the "Modern Desert" community.

Coffee Shop
A brand revolving around thriving health, independence, and morning inspiration. Playful typography with accents of action that conveys energy, movement, and self-reliance.

Market
Implies a welcome respite and plays on the desert's place of relief and nourishment. Visual identity integrates a palm tree within the "O," doubling as a fresh tomato leaf.

Bistro & Grill
A playful, vibrant brand mirroring the lively southwest-inspired decor, infusing the space with a desert bloom's bursts of color and spontaneity.

Expo Restaurant
Derived from the Spanish "I smiled," reflecting joy and warmth of a full-service dining experience and reinforcing Sun City's bright, welcoming spirit.

Wine Room & Private Dining
A refined, elegant brand blending the existing 'Willows' name with 'Reserve,' evoking the exclusivity of aged, small-batch wines with a seal of authenticity.

Bar & Lounge
A nostalgic yet modern brand honoring Royal Oaks' founding year. Playfully integrated numbers with open font fostering a sense of intimacy and history.
SCOPOS approached the branding for Royal Oaks by first immersing in the community's mission, values, and the natural character of Sun City, Arizona. Through close collaboration with residents, staff, and project partners, each of the six dining venues was given a distinct identity — one that feels both purposeful and personal. From custom typography and color palettes to signage, menus, and environmental graphics, every visual touchpoint was crafted to reflect the "Modern Desert" aesthetic while creating an intuitive, seamless experience across the community. The result is a dining environment where each venue tells its own compelling story, yet all six feel unmistakably at home within Royal Oaks.
